Lillina recently completed her sociology degree in Sharlayan. She's doing a field study in Ul'dah now for her first doctoral paper, documenting the interplay between the local magical and cultural traditions.
She's also a strong spellcaster in her own right, wielding a foreign discipline of elemental magic that emphasizes precision and debilitation over raw power.

History
These are the facts that are known:
Lillina grew up in an isolated Viera tribe in the Golmore Jungle.
She was trained there in a magical discipline that isn't often seen anywhere else.
About sixty years ago, when she was around 20, she left.
Roughly ten years ago she joined the Studium in Sharlayan as a student.
Nearly a year ago she completed a double major in sociology and aetherology.
Shortly after that, she arrived in Ul'dah by airship and bought an apartment.
Shortly after that, she started appearing at parties and flirting with all the women.
She's writing a research paper and will happily talk about it to anyone who asks.
Anything else, particularly what she did in the intervening decades between Golmore and Sharlayan, is a matter of hearsay at best.
Appearance
Lillina isn't a muscular woman. A kind observer might describe her as "unathletic". She's a scholar and a mage, and has grant money paying for her meals. But the Viera bloodline runs strong in her, and so she wears the weight with the unaging grace and beauty common among her sisters. She's effortlessly beautiful, an exercise in dramatic curves and soft flesh.
Her skin is dusted with freckles from head to toe, but is otherwise almost entirely unblemished -- other than the hole in her ear she sports no wounds, no scars, no calluses even. Either she doesn't get into many physical altercations, or she knows a really good healer, or she ends fights really quickly.
Her fashion choices run towards the butch end of things -- her hair is in a messy mid-length cut, and she's almost always wearing boots and practical trousers. The one exception is her shirts: by habit and necessity, most of them are very feminine cuts with a lot of cleavage on display.

Magic
Lillina practices a form of elemental magic that is a branch of what's commonly called 'witchcraft' in her birthplace. It's similar in concept to conjury -- taking command of the aether in the environment and having it do your bidding. The difference is a matter of precision: an experienced conjurer can redirect an entire river, while Lillina can extract water from soaked clothes without damaging them.
More than that, Lillina can pull out trace amounts of elemental aether from most any target that isn't purely one element or another. By doing so, the target is left with an imbalance of aether, strengthening an aspect normally kept in balance by whatever she removed.
Herein lies the combat potential: removing wind aether from a person's body leaves them attuned to fire, their body burning itself from the inside out. Once out of balance, this misalignment can be spun like a top: fire attunement can easily be turned to earth by removing water aether, and so on.
OOC: there are two main forms of spells she uses. One is direct low-level elemental manipulation, eg. cleaning up spilled drinks. The other is a cycle of elemental debuffs you might recognize: Shock, Burn, Rasp, Frost, Drown, Choke.
A red mage uses their personal aether to throw a verfireball at you; Lillina uses your personal aether to throw a little fire burst into the air, leaving you frozen and also stuck with the mana depletion consequences, instead of paying for it herself.
Feel free to just resist the effects or the aether drain if you roll higher than her in combat. It's chilly but you power through, or however you want to play it.

Lillina's pretty amiable in general, but here are some options if you want to really catch her interest.
Wizards Live In A Society: Lillina's writing a thesis on how different cultures develop different magical disciplines, and how those magical disciplines then loop back and alter the path of society. She will happily talk about this all day.

Five Star Critic: Lillina loves food and does cultural studies for fun, so "hey do you want to go to this cool restaurant I found?" is an instant win. She'll eat basically any meal you put in front of her and will almost certainly enjoy it.
Mage School For Mages: Are you an aspiring conjurer, thaumaturge, or other aetheric practitioner? Lillina occasionally does introductory courses on practical magic, helping out when the official guild trainers aren't enough!

Lillina's an ERP alt. Over time she's developed to not be just that, but she's still literally built for sex. Big Titty Lesbian Sorority Witch, at her heart. But in XIV that basically means studying in Sharlayan, and things kind of... snowballed from there.

I'm kind of shy and not the fastest writer, although I'm hoping to get better. I also have a day job with somewhat erratic hours, so the amount of time and energy I can spend on RP is limited. Not to say I don't want to, just there are in fact limits.
